March 2, 2008 -- CONWAY, ARK. -- For the third year in a row, the Tiger Women's Basketball Team has claimed the SCAC Basketball Tournament title and earned a bid to the NCAA National Basketball Tournament!  The Tigers narrowly beat Oglethorpe with a last-second steal, securing a 72-69 victory over Oglethorpe.  The Tigers will go into the national tourney as the defending national champions, having won DePauw's first team national title last year.

The Tiger Pep Band, and the Tiger Alumni Bands and Stumblebums were once again the official SCAC tournament bands, and performed for all 14 games of the tournament.  The Tiger Alumni Bands and Stumblebums WILL support the Tiger Women's Basketball Team as they proceed into the national tournament.  The NCAA bracket will be released on Monday morning, so stay tuned to this website for more information about TABS postseason performances.

SCAC Champions posters featuring a photo of the team (sample to the right) will be available from the Tigers Bands soon.  Posters will be $24.99 and 8x10 prints will be $9.99, with all proceeds supporting the Tiger Bands.

Fans can also relive the entire tournament be able to watch all tournament games live-as-they-happened with a $10 pass.  The broadcast is commercial free, so you can hear your favorite Tiger Bands at every time out and half time.  The pass gives access to archival footage of the entire tournament.
