February 29, 2008 -- CONWAY, ARK. -- The Tiger Bands were recognized today by columnist and sports writer David McCollum of the Log Cabin Democrat.  He writes of the Tiger Bands: "Since the tourney's beginning, it has been the official pep band and it's rated as one of the best college pep bands in the nation. Members perform at every game of every session.  The band learns all the SCAC schools' fight songs. They dress up in crazy costumes, they have a wide-ranging repertoire and they have a lot of fun with some crazy antics."

The article also notes the Tiger Basketball Team's top rankings and the DePauw/Trinity rivalry, as well as Hendrix College's Dance Team, saying, "If they get together with DePauw's pep band, it could really be energizing."
